You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Can't believe its been 10years. I remember the days when I use to stand in-front of the tv and mimic every dance move Aaliyah made....by far one the most talented artist!! Aaliyah Dana Haughto. Thank you for that talk in particular. After I got off the phone with you I just sat down and praised God. It was one of those moments. I know there is a reason why I'm at this point in my life. I've never doubted what God has instore for me but sometimes I doubt myself. I guess I'm so ambitious for success in my life that it scares me sometimes. Crazy part is, why am I worrying about something that is already in the making but I'm too caught up in the now moment I cant even realize how my life is being affected. Its already been noted deep in my brain that He has major plans for me and thats why I'm working on my "demands, always wanting everything right now" but I comprehend that you cannot get anywhere without putting forth effort. I was given certain skills for a reason and who knows where its going to take me but I'm really learning to live for day and not worry about tomorrow. Btwn my pride and self-doubt these two will kill me and thats where I begin to stress myself and freak out. Its funny because I always read old sayings how you are your worst enemy......but I dont want that for myself. This has been on my heart for a little while and my biggest fear was to speak up and ask for advice. The fear of weakness wouldnt allow me to openly express myself to you, but I didnt care anymore. I have a great life...yes I'm blessed beyond measure so why am I worrying about nonsense. It meant alot to me thank you, love you goodnight

Morgan: so they had access to all the trees in the garden, but there was that one tree that was off limits. Of course human nature pulls us toward the things that we "cant have" or tempts us do things that we "shouldn't do" according to God's word, but we have the choice to decide between life and death/happiness and sorrow. So adam and eve were naked, which equated to their freedom. But after they ate from the bad tree, and became disobedient, they realized they were naked, and essentially lost their freedom to enjoy life the way God wanted them to.

Morgan: So I think when we chose to be obedient we get much more out of life than we would otherwise. And God set certain "rules" to protect us, give us freedom, and guarantee us a fulfilling lifestyle. That's what obedience is all about, but we have to choose it. God is not going to choose it for us. The power to live in freedom and be happy remains with us.

Within the past year those around me have started a new chapter in their life. The beautiful union between a man and a woman better known as marriage. Whether its the engagement period or the actual wedding itself, tears of joy are flowing down my eyes. I'm excited for those around me because they have found their better half and now declared unto Him, to start this new chapter together as ONE. But as for me, I haven't found that ONE, or better said "He hasn't found ME." I always think to myself that God is really working for the best of my interest. My cousin told me a saying her mother always told her and now I'm starting to really open up and listen "allow the man to fall in love with you before you fall in love with him, you as a woman can always fall in love but for a man to fall in love with you first is a undeniable love" With all this said I know marriage will happen for me down the line and I can't wait to see who this guy is but until then I will enjoy my singleness. I do have love for one guy in particular and its a love like no other. There is something about him that makes my heart flutter just to hear his voice. Just having him in my life........ I'm at lost for words. Honestly I cannot sit here and say each and everything about him but I do know that he's been a great blessing into my life. Never thought I would love another man again, but I'm allowing my heart to open up. Who knows where I'll end up but until then I'll enjoy the ride!

Share My Life

So many people are constantly comparing their life to other individuals. Counting the blessings those around them are receiving but fail to look at their own blessings. For some people such as myself, I use to question God about those within my circle such as close friends, family members and etc.....if they are receiving blessings why am I not. Then I had to fully understand that everybody has a season for a particular blessing. There is a saying " there's a time and place for everything, do not force anything that is not meant to be." The sermon today by Pastor Lawson stated "Don't Forget" which in a simple context means that you should never forget where you came from/ the people who stood behind you 24/7 && 365 days throughout the year and also the ONE man who blessed you continuously over and over. He kept your cup full of blessings and with that said...I will never forget. I would not say that I am lucky but merely blessed!!!!

Food for thought:

What to look for in a real man

1. Look for a man who is ambitious and determined. The sky shouldn’t be the limit, it should be the beginning
2. Look for man who values hard work. A man who doesn’t work, doesn’t eat.
3. Look for a man with vision. If his steps have no direction, your relationship will be the same and go nowhere.
4. Your partner should be better at calming you then they are at provoking you.
5. Look for a man who values communication. 1 who wont argue w/ u every time u want 2 argue. 1 who understands when 2 speak & when 2 listen
6. Look for a man who knows what he wants, and more importantly, what it takes to get it
7. Look for a man who is generous, not wasteful. He should offer to pay a bill before he offers to take you shopping.
8. Look for a man who sets realistic goals. His gas card will never be a black card if he can’t keep a job.
9. Look for a man who knows how to say no. If he lets you walk all over him he’s not a man, he’s a doormat.
10. Look for man who understands basic things like APR, CD’s, IRA’s, Debt to income ratio, & FICO scores.
11. Look for a man who knows how to be a man. He’ll open doors, pay the tab, & make your smile his responsibility.
